Culture Night 2017

Now in its thirteenth year, Culture Night is an annual event that celebrates culture, creativity and the arts on the island of Ireland.

This year, Culture Night takes place on Friday 22nd September.

On Culture Night, visitor attractions, arts and cultural organisations, including the National Cultural Institutions, extend their opening hours to allow after-hours access to the public. Special and unique events are planned for each location and each event is available to attend free of charge.

The concept of Culture Night began as a Dublin based initiative in 2006 and has grown since then to the national event that it is today. Through Culture Night, 400,000 people will visit museums, galleries, historic houses, artists’ studios and cultural centres across the country.

The event grows in popularity each year to the extent that this year there is a Culture Night App which facilitates listings and bookings of each event for the public.

Our atrium bar is open for drinks and bar bites for the entire evening. ely CHQ makes a convenient Culture Night pit stop for events being hosted at EPIC,
