ely wine bar: Relaxing Experience with Well-informed, Passionate Staff
Visited here for an after dinner bottle of wine and were promptly greeted and welcomed on arrival despite the fact we had already eaten. Extensive wine list was available and staff were more than willing to help with our selection with us never feeling pushed to accept a bottle outside our price range. Their recommendation was so good we decided to top off the evening with a glass of port. A testament to quality of staff at ely, who are so accomplished and knowledgeable, was shown when the port came with a very interesting explanation of why it was best served chilled.
A surprise complementary presentation of some chocolate brownies for the table to go with the port was the perfect end to a lovely evening – will definitely be back to try the food and to taste some more wine recommendations!
