The Story of 10 Million Journeys and The Roots of 70 Million People

ely bar & brasserie is looking forward to welcoming Epic Ireland at CHQ. Dublin’s New Interactive Museum Opens Doors Next to ely bar & brasserie.

Epic Ireland is Dublin’s all new dramatic, interactive visitor experience based on the unique story of Irish migration and told as it never has been before!

The vision of Epic Ireland is to be top of the list for visitors coming to Ireland. It sets out to tell the epic stories of the Irish diaspora in a new, fun and informative way.

This is not just for visitors to Ireland though! We bet there is a lot to learn for everyone. Did you know that an Irish refugee played a key part in getting India’s Independence? Did you know that we had one of the only female pirates? Did you know that Billy the Kid’s parents were Irish? We certainly didn’t!

In Epic Ireland’s 20 high-technology interactive galleries, designed by their award winning team that brought you the Titanic museum, visitors from near and far can trace the journey of the Irish.

The Irish story is explored through four main areas. Firstly, an over view of migration and how it has shaped the Irish nation. Secondly, it explores the motivation behind this migration. Thirdly, the museum outlines the influences that the Irish diaspora has had on the world at large; from politics to the arts. Lastly, it will highlight the Irish connections that are still present worldwide.

Located in the 200 year-old vaults of the iconic CHQ building, situated on Custom House Quay, Epic Ireland are our newest neighbours at ely bar and brasserie!
