Fodor’s review of ely wine bar
Almost equidistant from the twin dames of Dublin hotel elegance, the Shelbourne and the Merrion, Ely started out as a mere wine bar—and oh, what a selection of wines they have, many of them by the glass. But it has quickly grown into a wonderful little eatery with organic meat and vegetables from the owner's family farm in County Clare, guaranteeing a tasty mouthful in every bite. Dishes tend to be simple—for example, their fishmongers stew with a selection of fish, chorizo, baby potatoes, and green beans—but incredibly fresh and succulent. The plate of mature Irish and Continental cheeses is the perfect finish—with a glass of wine, of course. Source: Fodor's
