“Worth a visit.”

Visited ely recently prior to attending a concert. It was just what we were looking for; relaxed informal dining, with good service & in a relaxed atmosphere. We chose to sit at the high tables in the bar as opposed to going downstairs to the restaurant. We were immediately greeted & seated & set up with menu's etc. my husband was not on for a full meal so we were delighted to find a good selection of dining options. Everything from a full ala carte menu to mini sized portions for the less ravenous. We were also offered to free taste sample of wine that was on offer at that particular time.

The food itself was good, nothing special buy certainly nothing to complain about. I had the beet root & goats cheese to start & the fish pie. The starter was a little tasteless but the fish was enjoyable. My husband has the mini burger which was tasty but the bun itself was too large for the meat contained in it.

All and all we very much enjoyed our vist to ely, we intend to book the restaurant for an upcoming concert in December.
