Shaw & Smith and Tolpuddle Wine Dinner

Join us for an evening of fine wines and paired organic food in the Georgian dining room at ely wine bar on Monday the 11th of June at 7pm.

Shaw & Smith was established in 1989 by Australia’s first Master of Wine, Michael Hill-Smith, and his cousin Martin Shaw. Their first success was with Sauvignon Blanc, which emerged onto a market dominated by New Zealand.

In 2011 they purchased the Tolpuddle Vineyard in Tasmania, and now produce a Pinot and Chardonnay which are nothing short of a revelation. The Pinot in particular makes a fine case for Tasmania being one of the worlds best cool climate vineyard sites.

Hosting the evening will be Adam Wadewitz, winemaker extraordinaire, endless fountain of knowledge, and all-round great guy. His wines will be paired with the finest of Irish produce, organic meats from our family farm and the very best of Irish farmhouse cheese.

Tickets are €85 per person and can be purchased below
