2020 Wine tastings at ELY WINE STORE, Maynooth

From January 2020 we will begin our Wine Tasting Evenings in ELY WINE STORE, Maynooth. Each evening will feature a specific theme, from French Classics or Italian Reds to Champagne & Sparkling and many more. They will take place on Wednesdays, starting at 7pm. Each tasting includes a supper dish chosen from our menu to best complement the wines we are tasting. We will cover all aspects of wine tasting including how to taste and what to look for, where to find a bargain, food and wine matching and how to spot a fault.

What makes Italy so fascinating as a wine growing country is that they focus almost exclusively on their indigenous varieties, grapes which are not grown anywhere else. What’s more, the varieties grown in Piedmont, or Tuscany or Sicily are not even grown anywhere else in Italy.
